Visma acquires Davilex and Descartes

Visma acquires Davilex Software BV and strengthens its position within the SMB segment in the Netherlands.

Davilex is a Dutch company focusing on administrative software for small and medium-sized enterprises and associations. More than 18.000 companies use solutions from Davilex.

– Davilex is a well-known name in the Netherlands. Thanks to the quality of their administrative software they have satisfied customers, many of whom have been using Davilex software for several years. We see opportunities for cross-fertilization of organisation and customer groups. Both Davilex and Visma focus on smart cloud solutions for associations, SMB, administration and accounting practices. In addition, both companies have their specialisations, says Richard Scheper, Commercial Director SMB in Visma Software BV.

Visma acquires Descartes from The Norwegian Institute of Public Accountants and strengthens its position within cloud-based auditor solutions.

Descartes audit methodology is tailored to meet the auditors’ needs, and will support the prevailing auditing standards. The tools is compliant with the International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and meets strict demands for reliability, stability and data security.

– To be a part of Visma will provide Descartes new opportunities in the market. Descartes will be supplied with new ideas and new functionality, and our strategic plans for the future are fulfilled in a good way by this acquisition. We are convinced that Descartes will have a positive development as part of Visma, says Per Hanstad Managing Director of the Norwegian Institute of Public Accountants.
